Elizabeth Jane Hurley was an English actress, model and TV personality who gained fame in the 1990s when she became Hugh Grant's girlfriend. In the 1990s, when the film of Grant Four Weddings and a Funeral received global public attention, Hurley accompanied Grant to the film's Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace dress and gold safety-pins. This instantly gained her fame in the media. Her association in the company of Estee Lauder has been the most memorable moment in her career. Hurley's first modelling job was at Estee Lauder, when she was 29 years old. She has been a model since 1995 to promote their cosmetics, and in particular perfumes like Sensuous Intuition or Pleasures. Vanessa Kensington was her most famous part on screen in Mike Myers hit spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me(1999). Hurley is currently a model and designer for an eponymous beachwear line. Perry's efforts to achieve popular recognition were unsuccessful. Before new material was released, two record labels signed but then dropped Perry. Capitol Records did release Perry's Ur So Gay, which garnered modest attention in 2007 due to its jolly title. "I Loved a Girl a straightforward ode to sexual curiosity, backed by the beat of a hardedged electropop caused her to make a bigger splash a few months later. The song caused controversy with some critics accusing that it promoted homosexual relationships, and some asserting that the explicit sexual scene was created to cater to male fantasies. I Kissed a Girl, the combination of excitement with a refined melody helped I Kissed a Girl to be a top-rated hit in a variety of countries, and to drive sales for her album One of the Boys. The sharp, bouncy second single was also popular. The album Perry created in large portion was sold to over 3 million people.
